WORK EXPERIENCE
RF ENGINEER –Planning and Optimization, China mobile (Formerly Paktel GSM), Since 2004 Sep- To date
• Analysis of propagation model data, field test data and deductions with TEMS Investigation Tool for GSM. Parameters analyzed were Data, Speech Quality Index, C/I, C/A measurements and Channel Verification using TEMS. Observed the network functionality such as down time through use of drive data & service measurement data.
• Performed Signal Characteristic Estimation and Analysis of drive route plots using MapInfo to make problem-solving decisions necessary for efficient network operation with mapping in layers.
• Recommendation and implementation of new antennas, including: Down tilt (electrical & mechanical), re-orientation (azimuth and/or height) and beam width specifications.
• Frequency Planning, Signal fading, Receiver sensitivity, Handovers and Noise issues.
• Installation and commissioning of GSM cell sites. Fault and Alarm diagnosis and management. Frequency planning for the network considering interference with frequencies of adjacent links (Number of groups and number of frequencies per group).
• Optimization and daily monitoring of the worst performing cells through daily, weekly, hourly reports on the basis of Network Key Performance Indicators (KPI) using OPTIMA tool. Major KPIs including call drops due to handover, BSS, Radio link, call set up success rate CSSR, attempts, rejections, incoming and outgoing handover success rates, TCH Assignment success rate, TCH User block, and SDCCH blocking, TCH User Block etc. to improve the network quality.
• Traffic analysis and recommending expansions (Enable/Disable HR, DHR, addition of TRXs etc) on effected sites.
• BSC Parameter Optimization, related to Handovers, cell configuration parameters, Rx level, SFH and many more.

RF ENGINEER –Planning and Optimization, Paktel Pvt. Ltd, Pakistan since 2002 Feb-To Sep 2004.
• RF Planning and optimization of Ericsson Amps/DAMPS 882-884 Network.
• To Improve the Key performance Indicators (Call drops, Grate of Service (GOS), Handovers, TCH user blocking etc) monitor by TRAR, Cell traffic Statistics (CTS) files through Ericsson Switch (Jambala) by Daily ,weekly and Monthly.
• Drive testing with the help of Ericsson Tems Investigation TDMA version 3.1 and Tems Drive tester 4.0. and check the sick cells.
• RF planning for new sites and update the data base with the help of Ericsson Tems Cell planner (TCP).
