Education: BS/MS in CS/EE
Description of Position: Firmware development for a Wireless LAN (802.11) system. Firmware will run on a processor core embedded on a baseband ASIC. Software engineers will be expected to work very closely with hardware engineers and system architects through all phases of the project.
Years of Experience: 4+
Areas of Prior Experience: The candidate should have significant experience (multiple projects) in embedded software development for a System-on-Chip (SoC) environment using an ARM/MIPS processor. Expertise in developing boot loaders, device drivers, and other low-level firmware is desirable. An ideal candidate would be familiar with SoC development tools such as Embedded In-Circuit Emulator (ICE), Embedded Trace Macrocell (ETM). Prior experience developing software for wireless/networking applications is desirable but not essential.
