* Spot Award at Motorola, India for developing Parser for ACE2000
* Submitted a paper on Generic Grammar to US Software Engineering Symposium 2000
and Asia Pacific Symposium (APSES). It was selected for publication in US SES. The concept of Generic Grammar was considered for patent filing by Motorola.

Organization: Motorola India Electronics Ltd. Feb ‘99 to Aug ‘01
Designation: Senior Software Engineer

EXPERIENCE PROFILE
Environment:
Platforms: Solaris 2.x, WinNT4.0
Languages: C, C++, VC++
Tools: Lex, YACC,Telelogic TAU 3.4/4.0, Clearcase, DDTS, Sun workshop, UML and Rose
Notations: TTCN, ASN.1
Project Title: 3G-UIS(Third Generation User Interaction Services) June’01 to Aug’01

Main objective of this project was to develop Generic User Interface/Interaction Services and its supporting lower layers for the 3G mobiles.

Role and Contribution:
* Involved in the preparation of the interfacing API for Image decoder’s library.
* Developed GIF decoder to support the animation of picture viewing feature.
* Design using UML and Rose. Coding in C++.
* Analysing complexity and understanding LZW algorithm.
Project Title: CTAPI (Cellular Telephony API) April’01 to May’01

Main objective of this project is to develop engine independent API for applications at the Device layer for a mobile. This API enables application to be independent of engine protocols such as CDMA, GSM or GPRS.

Role and Contribution:
* Study of JTAPI developed by Sun.
* Implementation and support of CTAPI.

Project Title: ACE2000 Jan’00 to April’00

Main objective of this project is to develop a tool similar in functionality of GGEN. This tools provides cost effective alternative for GGEN. Unlike GGEN, ACE2000 avoids using the access license of TTCN.

Role and Contribution
* Define a solution for GGEN not use TTCN licenses for generating encoder/decoder modules.
* Developed the parser to provide the required information for generating enc/decs.
* Integrate the parser with GGEN modules to generate ACE2000.

Project Title: GGEN (Generic Generator) Nov ’99 to March ‘01

The main objective of this project is to automate the process of encoder/decoder development. With the help of this tool the process of developing encoder/decoder modules is easy and less time consuming for various protocols. Main functionality of this tool is to generate encoder/decoder modules from the itex definitions. GGEN contains sub modules called Grammar parser, Intermediate code generator and a generator.

Role and Contribution:
* Involved from the starting phase of the project.
* Studied various protocols and defining generic grammar.
* Developed grammar parser and Intermediate code generator.
* Lead the team for ASN.1 notation, WCDMA & Bluetooth protocol support upgradations.
* Involved in Voice call testing for WCDMA mobile at Motorola Urbana ,USA. The testing was successful for voice call on a bread board mobile.

Project Title: Capsicom Feb ’99 to Oct ‘99

The main objective of this project is to develop encoder/decoder modules for Mobile test setup, which is used to test the different mobiles supporting various protocols of CDMA and GSM. The encoder/decoder modules support following protocols.
IS95A, TSB-74, JSTD008, IS637-637A, IS683-683A.
Role and Contribution:
* Study of protocol message exchanges, TAU environment.
* C/C++ coding for encoding and decoding part.
* Testing of the encoder/decoders using TEP. This involves writing test cases and perl coding.
* Upgrading the TEP for different protocol encoding/decoding testing.
* Developed TTCN test cases for testing the encoder decoders for different protocols.

Organization: Electronics Corporation of India Ltd., India July ‘96 - Feb ‘99
Designation: Software Engineer

Project: Automatic Dependent Surveillance System (ADSS)
ADS System is aimed at taking the Air Traffic Services (ATS) to a full CNS/ATM (Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management) environment based on the emerging Future Air Navigation System (FANS) specification.

My responsibilities include:
* Study and Analysis of the Existing Air Traffic Control process.
* Understand DOC 444, Arinc 620, Arinc 624, Implement 219 and SITA Protocols.
* Interact with Air Traffic Controllers, SITA, FANS.
* Design and Develop software modules mentioned below.
* Installation and Conducting live testing with the Aircraft.

Environment: Solaris2.x, POSIX C, C++, Solaris Multithreads Library, Sockets, Ucon X.25 Library, PT_SBUS334A Card, X-Motif 1.2, Xt and Xlib.

Module#1 Terminal Server software
This module implements a key feature called Automatic Dependent Surveillance of ADSS. The module act as a communication interface between Aircraft and ADSS. The messages exchanged from ground to air and air to ground between ADSS and Aircraft follow protocols such as Arinc 624, Arinc 620 , Arinc 745 and CPDLC(Controller Pilot Data Link) over X.25 link provided by SITA(SITA - Society International Telecom Aeronautical ).
Role and Contribution:
* Developed Encoding/Decoding software for ADS and CPDLC messages.
* On-site testing with an Aircraft in a commercial airport.
Module#2 Flight Management System Simulator

In real scenario, ADS System has to communicate with onboard computer of an aircraft called Flight Management Computer Systems (FMS). The FMS Simulator provides cost-effective solution to ADS System for verifying its communication/application functionality's with FMS. This software consists of following objects:
* GUI objects, Session Objects, Communication Interface Objects
All these objects are implemented in C++.

Module#3 X.25 Communication Interface Software
This Solaris-based systems software provided an X.25 Communication Channel between ADSS and Service Provider (SITA - Society I
