Online Developer Zone For Wireless And Voice Apps. Launched By Zondigo
Zondigo's new Zcore software product is removing the complexity and cost of
building wireless applications. It provides a single user-interface to the
various programming languages, protocols, wireless and voice technologies,
and third-party services that developers need to build advanced wireless
applications. The "Zone" Offers Developers Free Access to Build Working Wireless and Voice
Applications. Users will also have access to cool developer links, industry news,
events, and resources.
Los Angeles, CA - May 7, 2001 - Zondigo, Inc. today launched the first
online community developer's zone located at devzone.zondigo.com. The zone
provides users with free access to build and test new wireless and voice
applications using Zcore*, Zondigo's application development software.
Zcore was designed in response to the ever-increasing number of new
programming languages, tools, protocols, devices and networks in the
wireless and voice industries. Its single, open interface gives developers
full control to use any programming language(s) (e.g., C++, Perl, VoiceXML,
WML and XML) or third party technologies and services to build their
applications. By shielding developers from this complexity, Zcore also
significantly decreases the resource and capital requirements needed to
create wireless and voice applications.
"The unveiling of our community developer's zone not only represents a major
achievement for Zondigo, but also a significant milestone for the entire
wireless industry," said Frank Addante, Zondigo's CEO. "Even though there
is a wealth of new technologies, the adoption of wireless and voice
applications has been slow because businesses want control over how they
build applications, which is complex and costly. Zcore eliminates this
dilemma and today we are sharing it with the public."
In addition to providing Web-based access to the Zcore software, Zondigo's
developer's zone has tutorials, industry references, news and an exhibition
area where community members can share their applications with the public.
It will also feature chat rooms, message boards, and online development
support services.
Zondigo's Zcore software enables developers to build applications that
utilize technologies such as SMS messaging, text to speech, mobile email,
voice recognition, interactive voice response, and content delivery access.
It includes built-in support for Internet-enabled phones (e.g. WAP, iMode),
Palm, Pocket PC and RIM platforms, as well as the standard voice phone.
Additionally, Zcore provides access to third-party technologies and
services, such as those provided by MobileSys, Simplewire and Voxeo.
Zcore can be used to create a wide range of applications from enterprise
business applications to wireless games and sweepstakes.

software include:
* One-way and two-way SMS
* Voice recognition
* Text-to-speech
