Solution Providers

  • AirBiquity - Provider of Global Positioning System (GPS) data to any wireless network.

  • GeoMode - GeoMode™ is a 100%software based cellular location system for accurately determining the location of a wireless cellular device. GeoMode™ has been tested in a variety of metropolitan and rural settings where it demonstrated location accuracy of within 50 meters for 92% of the time in metropolitan areas
  • Geometrix Geometrix is a network-based location system, which performs well in all environments (urban, suburban and rural). It meets the accuracy and capacity requirements of E911 and other location-based services.

  • LOCUS Corporation - founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1995 as the first developer of location positioning technologies for network base solutions in Japan. LOCUS's "AME" technology is expected to contribute to improvement of positioning accuracy for legacy mobile handsets in TDMA cellular phone networks, to comply with E-911 regulation.

  • MapTuit - Mapuit’s eGeo technology supports simple development of location-based applications by carriers and wireless application developers. Using the Maptuit technology, wireless carriers can deploy location-based services
  • Plant Equipment Inc. - Established in 1968, PEI is a major solutions supplier for public safety equipment providers. An industry leader in computer telephony integration (CTI), PEI’s products include key telephone systems, 9-1-1 controllers, critical application software, digital logging systems and intelligent workstations.
  • Qualcomm (QCT) - QCT's gpsOne position-location technology is AVAILABLE to carriers TODAY and has been available for over a year. On Monday, Oct 1, the first U.S. Samsung phones using Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM3300 chipset with gpsOne technology went on sale in Sprint PCS Stores in Rhode Island. This technology enables emergency dispatchers to identify the location of a 911 call made from a wireless handset within 30 meters in both urban and rural settings.
  • Sirf - SiRF Technology, Inc. develops and markets semiconductor and software products that are designed to enable location awareness in high-volume mobile consumer devices and commercial applications. The SiRFLoc architecture, with multi-mode, client-server capabilities, is designed for the wireless carrier deployment of GPS enabled location technology.
  • SnapTrack - SnapTrack utilizes a DSP software-based receiver solution in conjunction with a location server. The location server processes the satellite data and also performs "altitude aiding" against a terrain elevation database for improved reliability and accuracy
  • SCC -SCC Communications Corp. and Lucent Public Safety Systems are now Intrado Inc. Intrado Inc. is a data management and network services company dedicated to providing innovative, open-standards-based technology solutions that address the ever changing need for mission critical 9-1-1 communications. Products include 911Connect, and 911Net.
  • SignalSoft - SignalSoft's Wireless 911 (W911) product is the location-based services solution to wireless safety. It's installed in wireless networks today, helping wireless operators comply with the FCC's emergency services mandate
  • SiRF - SiRF's GPS technology delivers instant location information, enabling users to find their way or find their loved ones anywhere in the world using car navigation systems, portable PCs, cellular phones, entertainment systems, hand-held devices.
  • Spirent Communications - Spirent Communications' CDMA Position Location Test System (PLTS) is the first commercially available single-source solution for comprehensive, automated testing of mobile-based wireless position location technologies, including those employed in E911 Phase II in the United States. Several organizations are developing test requirements and specifications for position location technologies. Spirent Communications is taking a leading role in this process, working with all the key players to develop test requirements. As a result PLTS is a fully integrated test solution for all CDMA mobile devices that use Advanced Forward Link Trilateration (AFLT), Assisted GPS (A-GPS), GPS-only or Hybrid (AFLT and A-GPS) technologies. The system meets or exceeds all currently published test requirements and is scaleable to accommodate evolution of the specifications.
  • Televigation - Televigation's technology enables motion-based and conventional location-based services over standard mobile phones and other mobile devices.
  • TruePosition - TruePosition developed its Wireless Location System to help wireless carriers meet the E-911 mandate and eventually provide value-added location based services
  • VisionAIR, Inc. - offers the fully integrated Public Safety Suite of software applications, including VisionCAD for computer-aided dispatching and VisionGEO for a geographical mapping soluion. VisionCAD provides an interface to Enhanced 911 and the ability to dispatch units from multiple departments.
