WDN "Hot Product"... ReqwirelessWeb
ReqwirelessWeb -
A class library for J2ME MIDP that allows applications to fetch, manipulate, and
render HTML.
This nifty product provides developers with a Java API for
fetching and rendering Web pages on J2ME
MIDP devices. ReqwirelessWeb is built to
handle the real Web--not limiting you to WAP
or Compact HTML--through support for these
features:
- HTML, including forms and image maps
- GIF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP images
- HTTP, FTP, and gopher resources
- HTTP cookies
- HTTP Basic authentication
- HTTPS (if supported by the device)

The ReqwirelessWeb library communicates
with a Java servlet that fetches Web pages,
cleans and simplifies the HTML, and converts
images into the format, size, and colour depth
required for the device. This split architecture
allows a lightweight client to conquer the
heavyweight Web; the ReqwirelessWeb client
JAR file is just 38K, and the Web browser built
on ReqwirelessWeb is a mere 48K.
