DIALOGUE WINS VIZZAVI MOBILE MESSAGING CONTRACT

URL(s): www.dialogue.co.uk

Sheffield: Dialogue today announced that Vizzavi, the multi-access Internet portal formed by Vodafone and Vivendi Universal, has implemented the Dialogue Envelos mobile messaging solution for its corporate email system.

Dialogue will provide the wireless interface into Vizzavi's corporate email system - enabling users to read, reply, forward and delete emails from anywhere using WAP-enabled mobile phones, as well as download text and graphic attachments.

For added flexibility Envelos also enables users to receive automated SMS alerts of high precedence e-mail messages. Additional functionality includes the ability to provision WAP phones with settings over the air, distribution of the Vizzavi Corporate logo, Intranet based text-messaging and high detailed management reporting, all based on the SMS and WAP standards.

"Dialogue's strength is its ability to deliver a working mobile messaging solution that encompasses both WAP and SMS protocols," said Patrick Graham, Vizzavi Head of IT. "This technology allows our increasingly mobile workforce to remain connected to vital information when they are away from the PC."

The Dialogue solution, based on its carrier-class Expressway 2000 server, brings the functionality of PC-based email systems to WAP-enabled mobile devices and has been deployed in both enterprise and ISP environments. Expressway 2000 is a middleware server that connects to corporate email systems and provides connectivity to mobile handsets. It offers advanced folder management features, access to directories and address book support. Envelos is a highly scaleable service capable of handling accounts sending from a few thousands to millions of messages a month. Based on flexible technology, it supports all major mobile Internet messaging protocols.
