Vodafone Selects Airflash To implement Location-Based Wireless Services For Mobile Customers

World's Largest Mobile Carrier to License SmartZone Development for Building Smart Apps LONDON-April 18, 2001-AirFlash, Inc. today announced a worldwide agreement with Vodafone Global Platform and Internet Services (VGP), a division within the Vodafone Group Plc, to license the AirFlash( SmartZone( development platform to build location-based wireless services for VGP's mobile Internet portal, Vizzavi. The two companies plan to develop, integrate and deploy SmartZone-enabled location-relevant applications, including business listings, driving and walking directions, restaurant finder and community applications, for multiple wireless devices.
