Bell Mobility launches first Canadian website for wireless application and service developers

(Toronto, Ontario) April 27, 2001 - Bell Mobility and Speedware Corporation have teamed up
to help foster innovation of wireless Internet applications and services by creating the first
Canadian website for wireless developers. The site, located at www.developer.bellmobility.ca
offers wireless developers all of the information they need to build innovative and leading-edge
applications for Bell Mobility.
By 2003, more people in the world will access the Internet through a wireless device than a PC,
according to Fortune Magazine (Richard Stafford, 1999). To meet this growing demand for new
applications and services, the Bell Mobility developer website will provide a cyber space for
developers to discuss their ideas, find the tools they need to build new applications and learn how
they can participate in Bell Mobility's partner's program.
"The growth in the wireless field has been explosive over the past 18 months," said Kelly Dixon,
General Manager, Wireless Internet and Data, Bell Mobility. "Wireless developers are coming up
with new applications virtually every day and many aren't sure the best way to bring their idea to
fruition. At Bell Mobility, we've developed this website to be the launch pad for all of the
information wireless developers need to build new applications for Bell Mobility and partner with
