New 1.2.1 release of Java CFML engine from n-ary
URL(s): www.n-ary.com
DUMFRIES, Scotland, May 24, 2001--n-ary Limited have released the new version of their Java CFML
engine known as "tagServlet".
tagServlet is a 100% pure J2EE application that renders web pages that were originally designed for ColdFusion, developed by
Allaire Corporation (Nasdaq: ALLR) which recently merged with MacroMedia (Nasdaq: MACR). The new 1.2.1 release of the
product is a further 1200% faster than the previous version after extensive code revision and includes among many things Custom tag
Support.
tagServlet supports the majority of the most commonly used CFML tags in addition to supporting CFML's complete expression
language. tagServlet has been undergoing thorough testing since July 2000 with a number of sites, including ShopSmart.com, the UK's
largest shopping portal which was recently acquired by Barclaycard's Indigosquare. Ceri Moran, CEO of n-ary, commented, "We are
very pleased that we have managed so many improvements and additions in such a short space of time. This is largely due to the
feedback from the huge CFML user base out there. Their critique of the product has been incredibly useful. This solution is much
cleaner, and the size of the download is greatly reduced as a result."
Alan Williamson, Chief Technology Officer for n-ary, added: "We have spent a great deal of time on the efficiency of page
rendering, I know our users will see a noticeable difference. I'm particularly looking forward to the response on Custom tags" n-ary
provide a free tagServlet Developers Edition, downloadable from the website with full functionality. Users are encouraged to give their
feedback at the report center on the website. The Standard Edition is priced at just (pound)295.95 (Approx. US $435).
Marion Davidson, Solutions Manager added, "Being a Java solution, tagServlet can be run on any platform, database or webserver.
In short, if your goal is to deliver interactive, dynamic and accurate web sites extremely fast then we recommend that you try this
exciting new tool. We use it to deploy all our solutions"
n-ary Limited is a privately held company, headquartered in Dumfries, Scotland, United Kingdom. n-ary was founded in 1995 as
the UK's first pure Java development company. n-ary CTO Alan Williamson has been involved with enterprise Java since the first
release of the Servlet API in 1996.
