Pumatech Synchronization Engine Selected by Yahoo!

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Jan. 16, 2001--PUMATECH, Inc. (Nasdaq: PUMA), a leading provider of software infrastructure for the mobile Internet, today announced that Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO), a global Internet communications, commerce and media company, has selected Pumatech's Intellisync(R)software as the default integrated synchronization solution for Yahoo!(R)Calendar (http://calendar.yahoo.com), Yahoo! Address Book (http://address.yahoo.com) and Yahoo! Notepad (http://notepad.yahoo.com). Yahoo! will incorporate Pumatech's Intellisync engine into these popular Yahoo! services, allowing people to synchronize their schedules, contact information, to do lists, and notes between the Internet and their desktops or handheld Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).
