Vizario Develops Wireless Web Solution for Next-Generation Mobile Devices

URL(s): Vizario

SAN CARLOS, Calif., June 25, 2001-- Moving to make the wireless Web far more usable and functional on next-generation mobile devices from Motorola, Nokia, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard, Vizario, Inc. (OTCBB: VZRO) (www.vizario.com) announced today that it has developed new software technology designed for widespread deployment in devices such as mobile phones, PDAs and portable PCs.

According to Vizario, Inc. CEO James Newcomb, the technology represents new thinking on creating a wireless Web experience that is easy, useful and functional.

"We developed the Vizario solution from the ground up, taking into account issues such as speed, rich media access and ease of use to ensure that users of next-generation mobile devices who access the wireless Web can do so without facing the hurdles that limit the popularity of Web access on wireless devices today," Newcomb said. "By creating scalable technology that can operate on existing wireless networks as well as tomorrow's 2.5 and 3G networks, we have developed a solution that makes even the slowest wireless Internet connection seem speedy while allowing next-generation devices to scale right up to applications such as interactive video."

Vizario leverages mobile devices to help wireless consumers and business users do more easily the things they already do. Designed to put new capabilities into wireless mobile devices, Vizario offers both consumers and businesses a completely integrated, end-to-end wireless solution for finding and displaying data. The Vizario consumer product features a client/server publishing tool allowing content carriers, promoters and content providers to distribute media assets to end users through the Vizario client. It also incorporates a Web interface where end users personalize their mobile Vizario further to add additional queries that deliver customized content. This solution offers unsurpassed ease of deployment in both Java and .NET-enabled handsets.

As a vertical application suite, Vizario is complete solution for companies that require distribution of image-intensive data to mobile devices wherever finding, encoding, decoding and displaying images for decision support in the field is considered critical to the mission's success.

Vizario is currently working with wireless handset manufacturing leaders such as Motorola and Nokia to develop customized Vizario solutions for a wide range of mobile devices. As both a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and Microsoft Mobile Solutions Partner, Vizario's parent company, Imaginon, Inc., anticipates Vizario deployment on Windows CE and Pocket PC devices, such as Compaq's iPAQ and Hewlett- Packard's Jornada, later this year.

Vizario is a trademark of Vizario, Inc. The underlying technology is protected under U.S. Patents assigned to Imaginon and licensed by Vizario. All other trademarks mentioned herein are the property of their respective owners.
