Digital Map Leaders Join Forces to Provide Most Comprehensive Routing and Street Map Solution in North America
MENLO PARK, Calif, July 9, 2001--
Tele Atlas North America and DMTI Spatial Form Business Alliance to Build Most Accurate Data and Complete Routing Solution for United States and Canada
Tele Atlas North America, a unit of Tele Atlas NV, and premier provider of digital map databases,
geocoding services and real-time traffic information for the U.S., today announced a strategic business
alliance with DMTI Spatial, Inc., Canada's leading spatial solutions data and software provider. The two
companies are joining their positionally accurate databases, providing users with the most complete routing
and street map data available for North America. The alliance solidifies Tele Atlas' place as the most
complete source for global street data.
The single-source map data solution will be a combination of Tele Atlas North America MultiNet (USA), the
most comprehensive nationwide road network in the United States, and DMTI Spatial's CanMap, the largest
addressed and routing road network database in Canada.
