SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2001--OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY), a leading global provider of award-winning wireless applications and services, today launched its wireless e-mail and Internet service for the Casio E-125 Pocket PC. By extending its service to the Casio E-125, OmniSky now offers its service for the three leading Pocket PC handhelds: Compaq iPAQ, HP Jornada 520/540 Series and Casio E-125, furthering a commitment to make the OmniSky service available on a wide variety of mobile devices, including handhelds, mobile phones and laptop computers.

"OmniSky's aggressive efforts to support multiple leading Pocket PC brands extends the potential subscriber base for the OmniSky service," said Kristine Stebbins, OmniSky's vice president of marketing. "We strive to deliver the best-possible experience across multiple devices and platforms, while maximizing the advantages and capabilities of each platform. We believe Casio E-125 users will find great benefit in this focus on excellence in user experience."

OmniSky takes advantage of the vivid color, processing power, and durability of the Casio E-125 Pocket PC to deliver convenient wireless access to e-mail and the Web.

"The OmniSky service on the Casio E-125 is a powerful tool for mobile professionals," said Todd Weissman, vice president of Casio's Mobile Information Products Division. "It provides incredibly convenient wireless access to e-mail and the Web, and looks fantastic in the Casio E-125 Pocket PC's brilliant color."

The OmniSky service for the Casio E-125 supports the Enfora PocketSpider(R) modem, which fits in the device's CompactFlash slot. "Combined with OmniSky's service package, our PocketSpider offers customers a wireless experience through the first CompactFlash modem available. This partnership demonstrates our continued commitment to offer users a flexible and easy wireless experience," said Mark Weinzierl, president and chief executive offers of Enfora.

The OmniSky service allows users to access up to six e-mail accounts, including corporate e-mail using Microsoft Outlook and proprietary compression for faster e-mail download speeds.

The OmniSky service for the Casio E-125 Pocket PC leverages the familiar Pocket Internet Explorer browser, making it easy to free surf to practically any Web site, including sites with rich media and Flash technology. The OmniSky service also makes it easy to find information on the Web and save it directly into e-mail messages or Microsoft Outlook Calendar, Contacts or Notes applications. The OmniSky software installs on the Casio E-125 in just minutes.

"The combination of the OmniSky service and the PocketSpider(R) modem gives Casio Pocket PC users a great mobile experience, gaining access to the corporate applications they need," said Phil Holden, director of marketing for the Mobility Group at Microsoft Corp.
