KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 3, 2001--Airtuit, the leading provider of Universal Access and Integration software, announced today the release of its BlueMoon 2.5 software, which enables companies to develop applications that wirelessly extend their enterprise systems. After an extensive product review, Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) chose BlueMoon 2.5 as its mobile solution.

"With 20% of our work force being mobile, it was critical that we look toward extending our enterprise systems for remote access. Eastman employees in the field need to access that information in real-time so we can better service our customers and streamline our operational efficiencies. It was an obvious step in staying competitive," says Fred Buehler, vice-president of e-Business at Eastman. "The only real challenge was finding a vendor that would work with us and meet our needs. Airtuit provided us with the best tools to connect our customers and field employees to our mission critical data."

David Hrivnak, Principal Emerging Technology Analyst at Eastman, spearheaded the effort to choose the right technology. "We looked at over 40 potential software products that could achieve what we needed. In a feature-by-feature comparison, BlueMoon provided us with optimal functionality. We were most impressed with their demonstrated capability to deliver."

"The launch of BlueMoon 2.5 marks a turning point for Airtuit. We are now putting our full effort in developing the best Universal Access and Integration software on the market," says Terry Marsh, CEO of Airtuit. "We have worked extensively with customers such as Eastman to understand enterprise needs and in turn, incorporate the best functionality into our product. I feel confident that we've hit the mark."

As the trend toward mobility continues in the workplace, access to critical enterprise information such as customer information, inventory and product specifications will be an integral part of the company's IT strategy.
