PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 6, 2001--Qsent, Inc., a provider of business information services, launched a significant upgrade to its iQtaxi reservation service on August 1.

For phone handsets that use the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) standard, the new version requires less than half the time of the previous version, making it simpler and more convenient for users. iQtaxi is the nation's largest ground transportation reservation network based on Qsent's relationships with more than 1,100 transportation service providers nationwide.

"Our goal from day one was to provide a fully automated iQtaxi solution, and with version 3.0, we're there," said Patrick Cox, Qsent CEO. "We've learned a lot about what our users want over the past nine months."

iQtaxi is free to the user and can be accessed on the travel menu of Internet-ready mobile phones, including: AT&T Digital PocketNet(R), Cingular(sm) Wireless, Nextel, Qwest Wireless, Sprint PCS, AOL Mobile(sm) Service and VoiceStream Wireless(R). Users select a vehicle type and city and iQtaxi provides a direct dial option that immediately connects the user to a transportation provider. iQtaxi is also available as a voice-automated service through Tellme Networks. Users call 800/555-TELL for a voice-activated iQtaxi menu.
