Charmed Technology Showcases Top Tech Trends

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association
(CTIA) today announced that Charmed Technology* would present its
"Fashionably Unwired World Fashion Show" at CTIA's WIRELESS I.T. & INTERNET
2001 at the San Diego Convention Center, September 11-13, 2001.
"Charmed Technology combines the latest in cutting-edge miniature
technology, music and models to bring the wireless future to life," said Rob
Mesirow, Vice President of Conventions for CTIA. "Their colorful
presentation of wireless Internet products, services and technologies were a
fantastic draw at our show in March."
The "Fashionably Unwired World Fashion Show" is a cutting-edge, high-energy,
multimedia event incorporating wireless Internet technology into fashion,
lifestyle and health applications. Models in the runway show wear the
latest in high fashion while displaying wireless mobile devices that
showcase the future of innovative wireless technology.
Last March, when the show debuted at WIRELESS 2001, various products were
displayed during the fashion show, including Charmed* Communicator, a
wearable, wireless, broadband Internet device with GPS, MP3, digital
photography and video capture capabilities that can be controlled by voice,
pen or handheld keyboard input; Charmed Badge, which allows for the exchange
of contact information through infrared technology; Charmed* Eyesite, a
conceptual eyeglass product that will allow for discreet Web-surfing; and
Charmed* Necklace, a piece of jewelry with a built-in voice recorder that
allows the wearer to dictate e-mail messages. The show also includes
leading edge products from research labs in the US, Europe, Israel, and
Japan.
