InfoRadŽ, Inc. announces first commercial implementation of WCTP wireless messaging protocol.

Cleveland, OH - InfoRadŽ, Inc. a provider of wireless messaging / data applications and middleware announces support of the WCTP wireless messaging protocol in the new version release (9.6) of the InfoRad Wireless Messaging Software suite.

WCTP allows devices, individuals, and organizations to easily communicate with wireless carriers via the Internet. It is a real-time method that provides the higher class of service required for critical wireless data.

"We are excited to be a part of this watershed development in the wireless data space," said Paul Fitzgerald CEO of InfoRad at the recent PCIA technical meeting in Jackson Mississippi " Mark Witsaman, Chairman of the PCIA PTC committee and Senior V.P. of Engineering and CTO at Arch Wireless, Inc., stated, "The WCTP subcommittee was diligent in bringing forward this robust new standard." Mr. Witsaman also praised developers like InfoRad for embracing the new protocol and other wireless carriers for implementing the standard within their messaging centers."

InfoRad wireless customers include 911 centers, hospitals, and many major newspapers that have implemented InfoRad Watch-ITT or Serve-ITT software for wireless enabling existing environments or Wireless Enterprise for workgroup communications. "Under InfoRad's AlphaCareT support program, all existing customers will be upgraded with the WCTP protocol option. These customers depend on seamless integration into today's advanced wireless PCS networks via the Internet, and WCTP is a very positive enhancement," said Paul Fitzgerald.
