ParallelGraphics launches Pocket Cortona, the world's first 3D viewer for mobile and next generation wireless devices

Dublin, Ireland, September 10, 2001 - ParallelGraphics
(www.parallelgraphics.com), a leader in the field of low bandwidth
Web-based 3D technologies, today released Pocket Cortona v1.5, the world's
first viewer for rich and interactive 3D graphics on wireless devices.
Pocket Cortona will enable the development of the next generation of
innovative services for the wireless market, including data visualization,
location-based navigation, field maintenance and sales, and entertainment
applications.
With Pocket Cortona, ParallelGraphics' strategy has been to build on
the experience gained from the development of Cortona, the lightweight
industry standard Web3D browser, to develop 3D technologies specifically
designed to meet the demands of Wireless based markets.

Pocket Cortona has been designed to integrate with ParallelGraphics' and
other authoring toolsets to create dynamic and interactive 3D visualizations
for the Pocket PC platform. Additionally Pocket Cortona supports
Parallelgraphics' Automation Interface so that developers can now start
writing 3D applications on pocket platforms using Cortona SDK.
