San Francisco, CA, September 18, 2001 Aligo, Inc., the leading provider of Java-based mobile application server software, announced an industry-leading initiative to enable enterprises with existing Java/J2EE infrastructure to rapidly and easily extend their infrastructure to mobile applications and devices. As a key component of the initiative, Aligo has partnered with a range of independent software vendors (ISVs) that provide J2EE software to ensure that Aligo’s M-1 Mobile Application Server 2.0 can seamlessly integrate with any J2EE application server software including those provided by Borland, IBM, iPlanet, Oracle, and SilverStream. With the M-1 Server, businesses can quickly take their enterprises mobile while leveraging their investments in existing infrastructure for the most cost-effective implementation.
Aligo has been selected to join the following partner programs: the Borland Business Technology Partner Program; the IBM Business Partner program; the Oracle Partner Program; the SilverStream ISV program; and the Sun Developer Connection. As a recognized partner of these software providers, Aligo can assure that its M-1 Server will easily integrate with software from these major brands, allowing businesses to make the most of their investments in existing infrastructure. Further, with Aligo, businesses can reach their goal of taking their enterprise mobile in days rather than months.
“These partnerships demonstrate our dedication to working with leading software companies to provide the best product for our customers particularly leaders that recognize the importance of Java and J2EE,” said David Shim, CEO of Aligo. "It’s crucial to enable our customers to seamlessly reuse and leverage their existing data access layer, including EJBs, as well as their existing business logic. At the same time, we’re providing technology designed to enable the enterprise to take advantage of next-generation mobile services.”
Aligo’s M-1 Server 2.0 transforms an enterprise's existing software infrastructure into a fully wireless-enabled platform with enhanced capabilities. Developers need only know how to code in Java, JSP or XML to instantly become mobile applications developers. Once a mobile application is built, the M-1 Server manages every aspect of delivery from session management, content presentation, and data flow to messaging and security.
