Mexico Communications Undersecretary Alvarez Hoth to Outline Country's Wireless Future at Latin Venture's ``Wireless Summit Mexico''

MIAMI, Sept. 20, 2001--Latin Venture (http://www.LatinVenture.com), the premier organizer of
conferences for senior executives in the Latin American information-technology and telecommunications markets, today
announced that Mexico's Undersecretary of Communications, Jorge Alvarez Hoth, will represent the administration of Mexican
President Vicente Fox and outline the government's vision for wireless communications at its upcoming Wireless Summit Mexico
conference, to be held Nov. 27-28 in Mexico City.
Mr. Alvarez Hoth will elaborate during his Keynote speech on the Fox administration's plans to foster competition and growth
in Mexico's mobile telephony sector and to promote wireless business solutions as part of the overall government plan to promote
the use of new technologies by Mexican companies.
Prior to accepting the post of Undersecretary of Communications, Mr. Alvarez Hoth served as CEO of Televisa's Internet
portal, EsMas.com, and as a special advisor to Televisa President Emilio Azcarraga. He previously was CEO of satellite
television platform Sky Mexico from 1996 to July 2000, as well as Vice-President for pay-TV at Televisa from 1998-2000.
Wireless Summit Mexico will also feature as Keynote speakers: Telefonica Moviles Mexico CEO Jose Luis de la Pena; Sun
Microsystems' Nasser Iravani, Director of Global Sales Operations, Wireless Solutions; and, the President of Mexico's Federal
Telecommunications Commission, Jorge Nicolin.
Delegates to Wireless Summit Mexico will hear presentations from a total of 39 plenary speakers and panelists, including
confirmed participation by executives and decision makers from Telcel, Unefon, Nextel, Pegaso PCS, Movil@ccess/Biper, Grupo
