InterVoice-Brite and 724 Solutions team up to bring voice to the wireless Internet

DALLAS, TX, and TORONTO, ON, Sep 24, 2001 -- InterVoice-Brite (Nasdaq: INTV) today announced an alliance with 724 Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:
SVNX; TSE: SVN) to pioneer an offering that will make the mobile Internet a more viable source of information and means of communication. Through a combination of InterVoice-Brite's
speech portal capabilities and 724 Solutions' wireless Internet technology, the speech-enabled wireless Web is no longer a dream - it is a reality.
The combination of speech and wireless Internet technologies provides users with options to choose the most effective method for communicating and requesting or receiving information.
To date, the wireless Internet has been an effective medium for receiving comprehensive information; however, its limitation has been the number of "clicks and scrolls" needed to request
information. The integration of speech recognition overcomes this obstacle by allowing callers to simply speak their requests. Additionally, with proactive alerts technology, information
can be sent to a customer's or subscriber's Short Message Service (SMS)- or Web-enabled wireless phone, personal digital assistant (PDA), pager or e-mail system using voice or data
as appropriate.

InterVoice-Brite will Web-enable its OneVoice and Omvia solutions based on 724 Solutions' alerts technology and its Wireless Internet Platform(TM), and offer it to customers beginning
later this year. As part of its multi- modal strategy announced today, 724 Solutions will be leveraging InterVoice- Brite's technology and expertise as it continues to voice-enable its suite
of products.
