SAVAJE TECHNOLOGIES DEMONSTRATES LATEST RELEASE OF SAVAJE XE JAVA OPERATING SYSTEM AT JDJ EDGE CONFERENCE

NEW YORK--JDJ Edge Conference, September 24, 2001--SavaJe Technologies is
demonstrating the latest release of its SavaJe XE(TM) operating system at
the JDJ Edge Conference today through September 28, 2001. SavaJe XE, a
new Java operating system for information appliances, is the first to
support the full Java(TM) 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE(TM)).
Since its initial release as an open public beta in June, SavaJe has made
available two public beta releases of SavaJe XE, which has been tested by
end users, developers, enterprises and device manufacturers. SavaJe XE
Release 1.0 will be generally available next month - October 2001.

the beta testing, and SavaJe XE release 1.0, which will ship in October,
provides a complete operating system for information appliances,

but also that the support for the full Java 2 Standard Edition platform

Complete Java 2 Standard Edition features now included in SavaJe XE and
being demonstrated today include support for the JavaSound API, external
keyboard, wireless networking, and dialup networking support. In
addition, the general availability release will ship with a complete set
of applications, including a web browser that supports JavaScript and
security, a personal information manager (PIM) with Microsoft Outlook
2000/XP support, a picture viewer, an MP3 music player, a POP3/IMAP4
email client with HTML support, a text editor, and a Tetris-style game.
Product Availability
SavaJe XE is currently available as a public beta release for download
from the SavaJe website (), and may be installed on
the Compaq iPAQ(TM) handheld or the Psion netBook computer. SavaJe XE
general release will be available in October 2001.
