The XML and Java(tm) technology-based software provides content developers and content providers with a platform to create, test, and deploy rich content onto mobile devices over today's wireless networks.

As the development tool set, Plazmic Workshop Start streamlines the graphics creation process by allowing content developers to create, edit and test content prior to deployment on wireless devices. Dynamic and animated graphics built using Plazmic Workshop Start run on Plazmic Media Engine, a wireless media player. Plazmic Media Engine enables mobile subscribers to view and interact with rich graphics and animation on wireless devices such as mobile phones with memory footprints as small as 10KB. Plazmic Media Engine is embedded or downloaded onto wireless devices and boasts features including support for numerous SVG features, audio and it provides digital rights protection.

Solutions built on the Plazmic Mobile Media Platform support existing 2G network standards and scale into next generation 2.5G and 3G networks. The patent-pending Plazmic Mobile Media Platform is network and device independent.

"The availability of Plazmic Workshop Start and Plazmic Media Engine marks a paradigm shift in the way content for the wireless Web is created and deployed," says Jay Steele, CTO and president, Plazmic Inc. "Plazmic's software targets the demands of wireless subscribers and the needs of the wireless content provider. Our Mobile Media Platform paves the way for companies to put their imagination into overdrive and build, deploy and run compelling content offerings and applications that respond to the exploding wireless mobile market."
