Extended Systems Qualifies Windows CE Software Development Kit for Bluetooth SIG Specification 1.1

BOISE, Idaho, Sept. 27, 2001--Extended Systems (Nasdaq:XTND), a leading provider of mobile data management and wireless
connectivity solutions, today announced that the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has qualified Extended Systems' Bluetooth software development kit for
Microsoft Windows CE, Pocket PC and Handheld PC operating systems.
Extended Systems has now pre-qualified its entire suite of software development kits in compliance with version 1.1 of the Bluetooth SIG specification.
"Microsoft's handheld operating systems provide an excellent platform for a growing number of mobile user applications in corporate and industrial
