BOSTON, Oct. 2, 2001--In a new research report, Aberdeen Group, a leading
provider of technology market consulting and research, states that the personal digital assistant (PDA) market
will reach $6.6 billion by 2005 with approximately 39 million units shipped. This research is a product of
Aberdeen's Information Appliances practice, which covers emerging and established suppliers of mobile
handheld devices while analyzing marketing, technology, and business trends.
