solutions, today announced enhanced support for Microsoft Windows-Powered
Pocket PC 2002 Software developers with a demonstration that fully
integrates a variety of media sources - including streaming audio, video,
and live news feeds - for display on hand-held devices, such as the Compaq
iPAQ. Based on MobileQ's flagship product, XMLEdge*, the demonstration will
show an ideal Pocket PC 2002 application for a variety of mobile content
providers and mobile enterprise developers.
MobileQ will demonstrate the content development application at the Pocket
PC 2002 launch event at the Concourse in San Francisco today.
XMLEdge enables enterprise and carrier customers to create scalable mobile
applications on any device and over any network, resulting in a seamless
user experience on Pocket PC 2002 devices. Through extensive client
development, MobileQ has optimized the interface for devices such as the
iPAQ, particularly with an 802.11b, or Wi-Fi, wireless local area network
(LAN) card. Leveraging the enhanced capabilities of Pocket PC 2002,
MobileQ will demonstrate a dynamic content area that actively plays
scrolling images and enables seamless messaging.
The XMLEdge Pocket PC 2002 demonstration includes support for ActiveSync 3.5
technology, Windows Media Player 8.0, and MSN Messenger Service.
