Wireless Generation Demonstrates Breakthrough Handheld Software at 2001 National Education Summit
PALISADES, N.Y., Oct. 10, 2001--
Governors, CEOs and Education Leaders Address How Technology Can Help
Students Reach Higher Standards
Wireless Generation, the leading developer of mobile K-12 educational applications is one of 21 technology driven education programs, products
and prototypes selected to demonstrate at the 2001 National Education Summit to Governors, CEOs and education leaders today. Wireless
Generation will demonstrate its flagship product, a software application for handheld devices that streamlines early reading assessment process by
enabling teachers to target instruction and administrators to mange continuous improvement.
The demonstrations were chosen by the New York City-based Center for Children and Technology and Achieve for their potential to help
address the two key challenges on which the Summit will focus: building the capacity of teachers and schools to meet higher standards and expanding
testing and accountability systems to provide better data and stronger incentives to raise achievement.
About Wireless Generation
Wireless Generation develops, licenses, and distributes the first truly mobile software for real-time assessment in K-12 education. The company's
easy-to-use applications for handheld computers allow teachers to capture rich and meaningful information about student performance. By capturing
actionable student performance data right at the point of instruction and automating previously paper-based bookkeeping tasks, Wireless Generation
helps teachers provide targeted, individualized instruction; administrators manage toward continuous improvement; and parents play a meaningful role
in learning.
