ARC Wireless Launches Galaxy Antenna to Enhance Cellular and Other Wireless Performance
URL(s): www.arcwireless.net
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo., Oct. 12, 2001--ARC Wireless Solutions, Inc.'s (OTCBB:ARCS) newly formed
ARC Wireless Communications Products Division today announced the availability of its new portable Galaxy antenna to enhance
wireless performance for cellular phones, laptops and other wireless devices.
The Galaxy antenna system is a revolutionary product that will improve the performance of a cellular phone or other wireless
device. Simply plugging the Galaxy antenna into your mobile phone's auxiliary port immediately improves the range and reliability of
virtually all calls regardless of the location of the phone.
This antenna solution provides a unique and easy self installation mount and can be used in numerous applications, including the car,
train, home, office, hotel or other remote areas where dropped calls are a problem or generally where more antenna gain is required.
Additionally, the Universal Galaxy antenna can be easily adapted to work with other wireless devices, both analog, digital and PCS
products, in the frequency range of 800 MHz to 3.5 GHz, offering reliable remote wireless connections for a broad range of existing
wireless products on the market as well as future wireless products with higher frequencies yet to be introduced. The product
supports wireless networks from AT&T Wireless, Qwest, Sprint, Verizon, VoiceStream, NEXTEL and others.
The product is available immediately with an initial retail value of $59.95, and will be advertised on a national basis for the
remainder of 2001. Subsequently, it will be offered through the Company's traditional distribution channels. With safety a key
component of the product, the Company will also offer a hands-free product as an accessory to support the Galaxy antenna for
in-vehicle use.
"The need for continuous wireless connections and personal security has created a demand for this new product," stated Burton
Calloway, Executive Vice President of ARC's Wireless Communications Products Division. "The emphasis on hands-free
communication often places the small phone antenna in a less-than-desirable location, causing dropped calls and poor performance.
Wireless phone users will see an immediate impact on their ability to have a lengthy conversation and will be able to use their
equipment in areas never used before," Mr. Calloway added.
