KENNEWICK, Wash., Nov. 2, 2001--Electronic Systems Technology, Inc. (EST) (OTCBB:ELST), a manufacturer of wireless communications hardware is installing an ESTeem Mobile Data Computer (MDC) System for the Columbia River Inter Tribal Fisheries (CRITF).

The MDC System provides an affordable wireless mobile data network allowing real-time wireless access for CRITF databases to fifteen patrol vehicles and five patrol boats. The wireless network infra-structure located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, starts deep in the hilly forested area west of the Bonneville Dam covers 14,500 square miles along the Oregon and Washington borders to the steep cliffs and rolling hills east of McNary Dam.

Captain Jerry Ekker of the CRITF and Robert Croft Manager of the ESTeem MDC Systems are excited about working on the project. "We hope this trend continues throughout Inter Tribes."

The ESTeem MDC System allows agencies to establish a private Radio Area Network (RAN), free of monthly service fees, transmitting data at 19,200 bps, utilizing the 150 to 174 MHz VHF public safety radio spectrum. The foundation of the ESTeem MDC System is the ESTeem Model 192 wireless modem, boasting a radio frequency (RF) data rate twice as fast as current technology.

Electronic Systems Technology, a publicly held Company since 1984, brings vast experience to the public safety communications market. The Company, first to develop the wireless modem and receive the United States and Canadian patents for the technology, has established the ESTeem products as a standard for both Industrial Automation and Federal applications in over 4,000 networks worldwide.
