SEATTLE--Dec. 14, 2001--E-City Software, Inc. (OTCBB:ECTY) announced today that it had sold its first resale license of its TaxiDispatch product for $500,000.

The TaxiDispatch product is a mapping software tool that facilitates identification, tracking, dispatch, navigation and electronic transactions for mobile fleets. The TaxiDispatch application is the first of a number of Dispatch products planned for development over the next 12 to 18 months.

E-City Software has developed a core library of 3D mapping, dispatch and vehicle navigation technologies. The Dispatch products that are being derived from these technologies have an application across a wide field of vehicle dispatch environments, fleet and mobile asset management, tracking and navigation.

Anis Jessa, CEO of E-City Software, announced "We have spent considerable effort in research and product development in the taxi/dispatch/mobile fleet management environment, including methods of integration for wireless tracking and wireless credit card transactions. This multi billion-dollar market provides one of the most exciting growth areas for E-City products. We would like to also publicly thank Wells Fargo Merchant Services, First Data Corporation and US Wireless Data for their input in the development of the TaxiDispatch product."

E-City sold a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license, including the right to sublicense the TaxiDispatch product to Fog City Taxi, Inc., a San Francisco based taxi company for $500,000. The resale license is restricted to the eight western states where Fog City has distribution relationships. We are pleased that Fog City has chosen our product as its dispatch product of choice."

E-City Software, Inc. (OTCBB:ECTY) is a developer of interactive maps for cities around the world. E-City sells its products to customers on the basis of both annual licensing fees and revenue share arrangements. E-City distributes its products directly to its customers, through arrangements with strategic partners and through its network of distributors and value added resellers.
