Chuck Parrish Joins Air2Web Advisory Board

ATLANTA--Jan. 8, 2001--Air2Web Inc., the leading mobile Internet platform provider, Monday announced the addition of Chuck Parrish to its advisory board.
Parrish was a co-founder of Phone.com, a leader in the delivery of Internet-based services to mass-market wireless phones. The company recently merged with Software.com to form Openwave Systems Inc., the worldwide leader of open Internet-based communication infrastructure software and applications. Parrish is a senior vice president and member of Openwave's executive team.
Parrish comes to Air2Web's advisory board with stellar credentials in the wireless communications sector. His vision and leadership were instrumental in positioning Phone.com as a leader in the wireless Internet revolution and spearheading the development of the WAP Forum.
WAP is the de facto worldwide standard for delivering content to wireless devices, including mobile phones and hand-held computers with micro-browsers. Parrish serves as vice chairman of the WAP Forum board of directors.
Parrish joins an all-star assembly of distinguished Air2Web board members including Brad Hammond, president, founder of Yahoo! Net RoadShow; Tom Noonan, president and chief executive officer of Internet Security Systems; Terry Lewis, Verizon Communications' Group senior vice president; and Bill Nussey, president and CEO of Avienda.com.

Prior to co-founding Phone.com, Parrish was vice president of marketing for GTE Mobile Communications and general manager of Mobile Data for GTE Mobile Communications. He also worked as senior vice president of operations at Contel Cellular Inc. and was co-founder, president, and CEO of AmeriCom Corp.
Formerly, Parrish served as chief of staff in the Department of Interior under the Carter Administration.
