LogicTree Corporation Announces VoxLinx 3.15 VoiceXML/WML Platform With Smart Agents

COLLEGE PARK, Md., April 2, 2001--LogicTree Corporation today announced the release of version 3.15 of its VoxLinx(TM) platform.

In addition to full support for VoiceXML and WML (WAP) protocols, VoxLinx allows VoiceXML/WML developers to write "smart agent" programs that alert users by calling their phone with designated, time-sensitive information. In the same call, the user can interact with a VoiceXML/WML application.

A sample "smart agent" application would be a Stock Monitoring Agent which, when triggered, allows the user to interact with an electronic "Trade Agent", or switch to a live agent. A Traffic Monitoring Agent would alert the user of potential traffic jams during commuting hours, and help the user find alternative routes.

Fred Korangy, CEO, says: "While other platforms provide only one-way pull-based interaction, we've taken the customer experience to the next level by allowing applications to Push data to the user, and then let user act on the data. Our soft-switch architecture enables us to incorporate such capabilities in a rapid time frame, while an IVR based technology may require some more engineering to get out of the user-ask-system-tell mode!"

The Strategis Consulting Group characterized VoxLinx(TM) technology as "truly unique in comparison with its competitors" according to a recent report.

LogicTree will be demonstrating VoxLinx technology at iEB Gartner show April 2-4. LogicTree's booth is No. 1043.

VoxLinx(TM) is an Enhanced Services Soft Switch Platform that allows voice access to VoiceXML/WML data and systems through speech in addition to providing traditional telephony connectivity. By acting as a gateway between the public telephone network and the Internet, VoxLinx(TM) brings the power of data connectivity to any telephone.

Based on a highly modular and distributed architecture, and utilizing advanced call processing paradigms, VoxLinx(TM) defines the soft-switch of the future, handling both traditional carrier-grade enhanced services requirements as well as providing voice access to data and systems.

Founded in 1997, LogicTree is a privately held telecom and Internet convergence company headquartered in College Park, Maryland, with offices in Canada, Denmark and Germany. The company's website is www.logictree.com.
