Adobe Announces the Next Level of Visual Authoring Tools for Wireless Web

Nokia Developer's Suite for MMS and Adobe GoLive 6.0 Extend Toolset for Wireless Authoring

SAN JOSE, Calif. --April 23, 2002--Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE), the leader in network publishing, announced a new wireless authoring module for Adobe(R) GoLive(R) 6.0 that enables designers and developers to easily create and adapt visually engaging Web content for Nokia mobile phones. Developed by Nokia and supporting the Symbian operating system, it is the first visual authoring application for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) wireless technology.

Demonstrated at the Symbian Developer Expo in London this week, the Nokia Developer's Suite for MMS extends the powerful wireless authoring capabilities within GoLive. Developers can create services that can now include audio, images, and video with text, transforming messages into rich media experiences.

"GoLive, in conjunction with the Nokia Developer's Suite for MMS, streamlines the content production process by allowing us to visually author SMIL content and MMS message components, as well as prepare messages for over-the-air delivery. The ability to preview content in GoLive saves us time and money, and ensures that my clients' messages and brand identities are consistent across all mediums."

Adobe entered the mobile market with the introduction of the Acrobat(R) Reader(R) for Palm OS(R) and Pocket PC. Adobe GoLive 6.0 is a key part of the content creation process for the Web and wireless devices, and is integrated with Acrobat, After Effects(R), Illustrator(R), InDesign(R), LiveMotion(TM), Photoshop(R) 7.0, and Adobe Premiere(R).
