Sophia-Antipolis, France - May 23rd., 2002. opt[e]way, the Navigation & LBS enabler announces the release of opt[e]go version 3.0, including unique turn by turn navigation, map rotation, local or remote features.

With the convergence of local navigation features and wireless information, opt[e]way introduces opt[e]go V3, the ultimate hybrid software platform to develop customized on/off-board services for the telematics and location based services markets. opt[e]go v3 provides powerful Client API/SDK (Java applet & Microsoft ActiveX) with over hundred navigation API functions for application developers.

From now on with opt[e]go V3 and based on a GPS/Cell-id position, instant access to advanced navigation services is possible through PDAs, smartphones or mobile navigation systems. You can access rich and interactive maps, "nearby" services, routing based upon live traffic data and voice activated itinerary on a turn by turn basis as you move along.

* Extremely compact & concise street-level maps (eg: Paris vector map is only 600 kb)

* Easy implementation of market standard Automatic Speech recognition * Enhanced XML interface

* OSGI compliance to meet automotive market standards.
