Intrado And TechnoCom Team To Enhance Intrado's Location-Based Services Offerings And Future Hosted PDE Management Service
Intrado Invests in TechnoCom
BOULDER, Colo., May 21, 2002 - Intrado Inc. (NasdaqNM: TRDO), the nation's
leading provider of solutions that manage and deliver mission-critical
information for telecommunications providers and public safety
organizations, today announced alliance and investment agreements with
TechnoCom Corporation®. TechnoCom is the premier provider of software,
systems and services that enable wireless carriers, location service
providers, systems integrators and infrastructure suppliers to implement,
optimize and manage their wireless location systems for E9-1-1 and
Location-Based Services (LBS). Under a renewed alliance agreement between
the companies, TechnoCom will provide its enabling products and services to
support Intrado's hosted position determination entity (PDE) Management
Service, and to help accelerate the implementation of Phase II wireless
E9-1-1 services. As part of the teaming arrangement, Intrado has also made
a minority equity investment in TechnoCom.
Intrado's hosted PDE Management Service will enable wireless carriers to
implement location-based wireless E9-1-1 services in a reliable and
cost-effective manner. The ability to support PDE technology is a key
component in the provision of Phase II wireless E9-1-1 and the rollout of
commercial LBS. The service is scheduled to be available to wireless
carriers this fall.
Intrado's investment in TechnoCom strengthens the alliance between the two
companies. The renewed alliance enhances Intrado's ability to support its
customers in two key areas - Phase II wireless E9-1-1 implementation and
hosted PDE Management. By working with TechnoCom, Intrado is further
expanding the ways in which it can provide a comprehensive set of services
and solutions to wireless carriers.

U.S., and already serves 24 wireless customers including market leaders such
as Cingular Wireless, AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS and Nextel Communications.
In order to deploy and maintain a PDE solution, wireless carriers face
software, hardware and operational challenges. With TechnoCom's leadership
in the implementation, performance assurance and optimization of PDE
technologies for CDMA and GSM carriers, Intrado is uniquely positioned to
deliver a turnkey suite of services that includes PDE deployment,
application hosting, performance validation, and ongoing system support and
management.
