PARTECH SELECTS XORA TO DELIVER AUTO-PAGING AND WIRELESS ACCESS FOR ITS FIELD ENGINEERS

Nationwide deployment allows field force and customers self-service wireless and voice access to enterprise applications MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - May 28, 2002 - Xora, Inc., a company that empowers the mobile workforce by providing wireless and voice access to enterprise applications, today announced that ParTech, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PTC), the world's largest supplier of point-of-sale systems to the quick service restaurant market, has selected Xora to provide wireless and voice access for its field force to its enterprise applications.

The Xora Platform will enhance ParTech's business process efficiencies in both the call center and the field with: Symbol… automatic paging of field engineers when new service cases are created in Clarify; Symbol… response from field engineers directly to the Clarify application -- acknowledging the page, providing estimated time of arrival at customer site, updating actual arrival and departure times, logging part usage, and closing the service case on completion.

"We look forward to using the Xora product suite and enabling our field force mobile access to our existing Clarify field service application through wireless devices and voice recognition," said Tim Prodanovich, vice president customer service for ParTech. "We expect the Xora Platform will help drive productivity in both the field and the back office, and will improve customer service," added Prodanovich.

In addition to giving access to field service information by wireless devices such as cell phones, PDAs and pagers, the voice recognition technology allows any telephone, even a landline phone, to be used to interact with the Clarify application.

Providing field engineers with the ability to log complex parts transactions in the Clarify system while in the field results in a more efficient business process, as well as a higher level of customer service and satisfaction. Additional benefits include freeing the field engineer from repetitive administrative tasks.
