Hit Wireless Game BUZZTIME Widens Its Reach

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA/MONTREAL, CANADA, Jan 16, 2002 - Its numbers are staggering. Over one million minutes of use generated in its first 50 days, dwarfing all other wireless games. Over 250,000 unique users. And all that with just one wireless carrier.

Now, BUZZTIME(TM), the massive, multi-player, real-time trivia quiz show, is widening its reach to eventually conquer the entire country. Through a strategic partnership with Airborne Entertainment's PocketBoxOffice network, BUZZTIME is now available to all ALLTEL mobile data customers. Now, everyone with an ALLTEL WAP-enabled device can enjoy and participate in the live, interactive competition of BUZZTIME. Before the Spring sets in, BUZZTIME will go even wider, launching with Cingular by the end of February and with many other carrier partners shortly thereafter.

Players "tune-in" to the BUZZTIME broadcast and join in the live competitions in restaurants and taverns, at home, and now with wireless, anywhere and anytime. The trivia content is unique, spiced with attitude and wide-reaching in its subject matter. Via PocketBoxOffice, mobile users will now be able to play the popular BUZZTIME game Countdown, in general, sports and entertainment categories.

PocketBoxOffice prides itself on presenting the most robust mobile entertainment offering for wireless devices.
