PSC Wireless Set to Launch the Preferred Voice Platform on August 1
Wireless Carrier to Provide Voice Dialing Services to All Subscribers
DALLAS, Jun 24, 2002 - Preferred Voice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PFVI) said today that PSC
Wireless, a privately held wireless carrier based in Columbus, Georgia has agreed to offer Voice Dial and Safety Talk services to all of its
subscribers beginning August 1, 2002.
The company said the PSC deployment would begin producing substantial new revenues for Preferred Voice beginning in the month of September
2002.
According to Bill Schereck, President of Preferred Voice, "the PSC deployment represents a key piece of our strategy to achieve positive cash flow
this fall. From contract signature to revenue collection, we expect this deployment to be the fastest, and the most cost effective in our history."
Kelly Bond, General Manager for PSC Wireless, said "PSC decided to deploy the Preferred Voice platform to provide customers with the most
convenient and safest wireless experience possible, and to create an important new revenue stream for our company."
"For the fist time since September 11, we are beginning to get a feeling from wireless customers, like PSC, that market conditions are stabilizing,
and deployment of new revenue generating services, such as voice dialing, can go forward," stated Schereck.
Voice Dialing allows a subscriber to access a "Personal Dialing Directory" via a speed access code such as ** or #0. After gaining access to the
directory, the subscriber can speak the name or the phone number they want to call. Preferred Voice will be utilizing its private SS7 VoIP network
to deliver speech driven services to PSC Wireless. This network-based approach offers important advantages for both wireline and wireless
customers. The PSC market launch is one of a series of scheduled deployments Preferred Voice has completed this year as part of an aggressive
expansion plan. The company is installing and launching services with carrier partners on a weekly basis over the next two months.
