mophun on Sony Ericsson T300 has created enormous interest in downloadable games
Since the launch of mophun ™ gaming platform there has been an enormously increased interest in downloadable games for mobile devices such as the recently launched Sony Ericsson mobile phone T300. There has been 300 SDKs or programming tools downloaded and several games has already been developed for T300.
Developments in the mobile phone industry such as colour screens and polyphonic sounds have made it possible to create a console-like gaming experience on a mobile platform. Swedish company Synergenix Interactive AB and Sony Ericsson previously this spring signed an agreement for the gaming platform mophun™ to be installed in the recently launched mobile phone T300, to enable these end-user friendly games.
These colour games are for enthusiastic gamers who are seeking more mobile fun and thrills or for the casual gamers who are just killing time. The games are today optimised for Sony Ericsson phones and will heighten the consumer experience and add value to the products, however the mophun™ will be installed in other mobile phones further ahead.
End-users with the Sony Ericsson T300 will be the first to enjoy these games with greater player experience. Ten sample games are available today but over 30 games will be launched when the phones reach the market, and these games will be continuously updated.
To produce mobile games on mophun™ enabled phones, game developers must download tools such as the SDK. Since the launch over 300 SDKs have been downloaded and several games have been produced. The new games are sports games, strategy games and Atari Classics. More information about recently produced games can be found on www.mophun.com.
