Verizon Wireless Launches JAMDAT Mobile's Next-Generation Wireless Games Nationally
Titles Including JAMDAT Bowling and JAMDAT Baseball Now Available in Verizon Wireless Catalog to Customers Across the U.S
BEDMINSTER, N.J. and LOS ANGELES, Jul 1, 2002 - Verizon Wireless announced the nationwide
availability of downloadable next-generation phone games from JAMDAT Mobile Inc., a leading publisher of entertainment applications and
enabling technologies for wireless. Launched nationally on Verizon Wireless's network, the #1 wireless provider in the U.S., JAMDAT's suite
of entertainment titles such as JAMDAT Bowling, JAMDAT Baseball and EA SPORTS(TM) 2002 FIFA World Cup(TM) On the Break, and
EA Sports(TM) Tiger Woods PGA Tour(R) Golf, co-published with Electronic Arts, are exciting and unique mobile entertainment experiences
never before available to mobile phone users in the United States.
"Today, through Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless provider in North America, consumers can now enjoy the popular brands and great
games that JAMDAT Mobile has published for wireless," said Mitch Lasky, CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc. "JAMDAT's slate of games
includes something for everyone. Users can tee off at Pebble Beach with EA SPORTS(TM) Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(R) Wireless Golf, bowl
a strike with JAMDAT Bowling, or play JAMDAT Solitaire -- all with only a few simple keystrokes on their BREW(TM)-enabled wireless
phones."
Each game published by JAMDAT for Verizon Wireless runs on QUALCOMM's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless(TM) (BREW),
an advanced platform which allows users to download the games over the air, which is currently available on the BREW-enabled Z-800.
Verizon Wireless subscribers can select, purchase and download entertainment applications published by JAMDAT; once downloaded, these
JAMDAT games do not require a wireless connection and can be accessed at anytime, anywhere without incurring airtime charges.
"Based on our initial launch of these wildly entertaining applications, we know our customers are having a lot of fun with our entertainment and
gaming selections," said Jim Straight, vice president of Internet and data services for Verizon Wireless. "The creative options that JAMDAT
brings to the table feeds our customers' cravings for these downloadable applications."
"JAMDAT created these applications with users in mind, delivering exciting, graphically rich games that can be played anywhere, at any time,"
added Lasky. "People take their cell phones on the go, so we've published games to provide entertainment on the go -- in line at the
supermarket, on a school bus, or waiting in an airport lobby, for example."
The JAMDAT catalog of games for Verizon Wireless includes the following titles:
JAMDAT Bowling: Players must aim, adjust power and add spin to hit the pins perfectly for a strike. JAMDAT Bowling allows players to play a

clear all the mines.
