nGame sign Star X, Game Boy ® Advance developer Graphic State

Cambridge, UK, July 26, 2002 -- nGame, global pioneer of mobile entertainment services, is proud to announce the addition of the talented British console and Game Boy ® Advance developer Graphic State to its Java developer program.

The Leamington Spa based team has already established a name for itself on Nintendo’s Game Boy ® Advance handheld, with titles such as Dark Arena and Cruis’n Velocity. With more titles currently under development for the Nintendo system, Graphic State is now looking to build a similar reputation for quality within the mobile gaming sector, with the stunning space title STAR X leading the line.

Converted from Graphic State’s Game Boy ® Advance original, STAR X represents a major advance for a mobile phone game. Reminiscent of classic arcade titles of yesteryear, the game is a fast-paced 2D blaster, with the player taking on wave after wave of alien adversaries, and STAR X is certain to establish the team as a major force in the field.

"We are delighted to be working with nGame and look forward to producing a series of entertaining mobile phone games. Our first batch of games provide solid game play covering a range of game genres, from fast reflex puzzle games through to sports games through to arcade action games," commented Graphic State’s Creative Director, Richard Whittall.

“We are really excited to be working with Graphic State, their development experience, skill and passion for games simply can’t be matched,” stated nGame's Head of Content Matt Kelland. “nGame's relationship with Graphic State clearly continues our commitment to offer THE very best content for the Java platform.”

“Today's announcement further demonstrates nGame’s position as a leading partner to wireless carriers,” Said nGame’s CEO John Brimacombe. “Our extensive brand relationships, robust network of top developers and technologies allow us to offer a truly exciting Java experience to our customers worldwide."
