Network Associates to Keynote on Wireless Security With U.S. Cyberspace Security Advisor and Government Leaders


SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jul 30, 2002 - Network Associates, Inc. (NYSE: NET), today announced that Art Matin, president of McAfee Security, will keynote at the "Wireless Security: Challenges and Solutions" event, co-hosted by the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, July 30th at 9:40 a.m. EDT. Matin's keynote will follow opening remarks by Richard Clarke, Special Advisor to the President for Cyberspace Security and Chairman of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board.

The focus of this event is to continue the discussion between industry and government on how to maximize and enhance overall security in a wireless world. Matin will address best practices for ensuring secure corporate wireless networks and mobile infrastructures, as well as provide recommendations for a national strategy for protecting cyberspace security, which is currently being drafted by the U.S. government.
