LightSurf and Yahoo! Partner To Launch Web Image Delivery Solution For All Cell Phones In Japan

Yahoo! JAPAN Licenses LightSurf's eSwitch Technology, Providing Optimal Web Image Viewing and Intelligent Access to All Yahoo! JAPAN Mobile Subscribers

TOKYO, JAPAN - January 22, 2002 -LightSurf Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of technology, solutions and applications for instant imaging and mobile multimedia, announced today that it has joined forces with Yahoo! JAPAN, the most highly accessed comprehensive Internet information site in Japan, to provide their 22 million users with the power to instantly access and view images on Yahoo! MOBILE Auctions. These images can be viewed from any location, on all Internet-ready cell phones, at any time.

As part of this partnership, Yahoo! JAPAN has licensed LightSurf's eSwitch technology.
