WARNER VILLAGE CINEMAS PARTNERS WITH DIGITAL RUM TO LAUNCH MOBILE CINEMA TICKETING

Warner Village Cinemas, one of the UK's leading multiplex chains, and Digital Rum, Europe's leading m-commerce provider, today announced a deal to deliver Warner Village Cinema tickets to mobile users via WAP and SMS.

The service, which will go live in early October, has been developed by Digital Rum and will be available on the WAP portals of Vodafone, branded 'Vizzavi Ticketshop' and T-Mobile, branded 'Cinema Tickets'. It will be available on other UK mobile operators' portals in the near future.

Graham Brown, Commercial Director of Warner Village Cinemas, said: "Consumers want convenience and it's our role to make it as convenient as possible for them to buy a ticket from us. By working with Digital Rum, we'll be able to offer people yet another way of booking - and as our core audience is aged between 15 and 24, and mobile phones play a big part in their lives, we believe that mobile cinema ticketing is crucial to our business".

The mobile ticketing service will soon extend to all UK mobile phone users with the launch of Digital Rum's SMS Ticketing Companion. Once registered, users will be able to purchase Warner Village Cinema tickets by sending two simple SMS messages.

Neil Andrews, Digital Rum's Business Development Manager said: We are very pleased to be working with Warner Village to deliver their m-commerce strategy. We will be working together on some exciting marketing initiatives to promote the service and in the future we plan to offer Warner customers other cinema-related offers via WAP and SMS."
