POCKET PC FILMS JOINS FORCES WITH DITAN FOR EDI RETAIL DISTRIBUTION
DITAN to also open distribution channels to mass merchant and specialty retail chains!
Sherman Oaks, CA—(August 20, 2002)—Pocket PC Films, the worldwide leader in multimedia distribution for handheld devices, has forged a long-term partnership with DITAN, one of the country’s leading retail distribution service providers specializing in direct-to-store distribution, it was jointly announced today.

Under the terms of the agreement, DITAN will work to expand Pocket PC Films retail distribution channels; developing direct-to-retail relationships within the mass merchant and specialty retail chains. DITAN’s distribution system will automatically make Pocket PC Films EDI compliant, and able to work with large retail chains for inventory control. DITAN will also handle all consumer orders for the indie multimedia studio from their online store located at www.pocketpcfilms.com.
Pocket PC Films currently distributes video programming for use on Pocket PC and Palm OS devices via CD-ROM at retail, as well as through nReach’s Mobile Content Kiosks™ at airports, malls, and retail locations. To support Pocket PCs, Pocket PC Films uses their patent-pending Pocket Cinema Installer™ software to view programs on the Microsoft Window Media Player (7.0 and higher) and uses the Generic Media gMovie Player™ to view programming on the Palm OS system. This enables Pocket PC Films to deliver VHS quality video on PDAs, with installation and viewer programs provided on each CD-ROM. CDs currently retail between $9.99 – $49.99 SRP.
