SAN DIEGO, Sept. 13 -- ProfitLine(R), Inc., today announced the formation of a partnership with the College of Extended Studies at San Diego State University (SDSU) to develop a Telecommunications Certificate Program for ProfitLine employees. Through the customized program, ProfitLine employees will take university-level courses to further their depth of understanding about telecom services and technology and keep pace with the rapidly changing landscape of the telecommunications industry.

The certificate program features a multi-course curriculum that integrates telecommunications technologies and puts them into perspective with management and policy/regulatory principles. Graduates of the program will understand how the latest telecommunications technology applies directly to business needs and will receive a professional certificate in telecommunications. The program also features a customized course about ProfitLine and its role in the industry.

"We are excited to be partnering with a progressive company like ProfitLine," said William Byxbee, dean of SDSU's College of Extended Studies. "Our program in telecommunications examines the most recent developments in this rapidly changing industry, and is designed so that graduates of the program can make their companies more successful and profitable."

The program will provide ProfitLine employees with a foundational education in telecommunications, as well as targeted and job-specific training that will benefit them while it helps the company deliver its services more effectively. The first group of participants began the series of courses this week, and should complete the certificate program by March 2003.

"Partnering with SDSU is a very exciting win for our employees, a win for the company, and a win for our clients," said Rick Valencia, president and CEO of ProfitLine. "We believe that providing our employees a customized curriculum from a world-class university will help us attract better talent, improve the knowledge base of our existing team, and enable us to provide even better service to our growing base of enterprise clients."
