Nowire releases a new product for Nokia Series 60 smartphones

Nowire, a Finnish company specialized in intelligent information distribution, is
pleased to announce completion of their latest product: The Nowire Smartphone
Teletext.
The new product is an application for Nokia Series 60 smartphones, which brings teletext channels to the smartphone. The application allows viewing everything local teletext channels
have provided on the Internet: news, sport, finance, TV programs and much more. All the
information is available in real time with few clicks and without an extra cost.
The application supports variety of different teletext channels. For example, different
channels from Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia and Sweden are included.
Intuitive and
easy to use user interface of the application enable operations of the real teletext channel. All
you have to do is choose country, channel and type in the teletext page number and you are
done.
Downloading of the teletext pages is very fast – with a GPRS connection a single page is
downloaded within a few seconds. The downloaded pages are available for viewing after the
fast imaging operations.
In addition, the application provides Nokia Series 60 smartphones with additional features.
You can zoom and pan teletext pages with your smartphone. Keyboard shortcuts are also
defined for the most important functions.
The Nowire Smartphone Teletext bases on the recent acquisition of PocketTextTV
technology from Jamsoft. The technology enables fast downloading and viewing of graphical
content directly from the Internet. The technology further supports Nowire’s ability to provide
comprehensive intelligent information distribution solutions for its customers.
