DIGITAL BRIDGES WINS MOBILE CHOICE AWARD IN 'BEST MOBILE GAME' CATEGORY
Sorcery WAP game of magic and combat chosen amongst six runner-ups
LONDON - 27. September 2002 - Digital Bridges, a world leader in the creation and distribution of mobile entertainment solutions, announced today that its Sorcery WAP title emerged as the winning game in the 'Best Mobile Game' category at yesterday's Mobile Choice Awards ceremony in London. Digital Bridges secured three out of six nominations for its mobile entertainment services in this category, which judged the games based on graphics, playability, addictiveness and cost.
"We are thrilled about the industry recognition our games received yesterday," says Brian Greasley, Chief Executive Officer at Digital Bridges. "The only thing better than having secured 50% of the nominations in the Best Mobile Game category is to actually win the award! Sorcery is one of our most popular titles and decidedly a gamer's game."
Sorcery is an adventure role-playing game based on Steve Jackson's interactive game book series, which has been published in 15 countries around the world and sold over a million copies. Players adventure through the Shamutanti Hills in search of the Crown of Kings and are challenged to engage in numerous fantasy adventures and magical puzzles. With over two hours of gameplay, extensive community features and superior in-game graphics and colours, Steve Jackson's Sorcery is one of the most comprehensive wireless games available.
