Pocketop Launches First Wireless PDA Keyboard in Europe
Pocketop Keyboard Now Available Online Through Widget UK
LONDON, Sept 27, 2002 - Pocketop Computer Corporation, an innovative design company creating input solutions for
the mobile handheld device market, is launching the first wireless PDA keyboard in Europe.
Available immediately from Widget UK, a leading supplier of mobile computing hardware and software to the UK market, the Pocketop
Keyboard is half the volume and weight of the current market leader and offers traditional touch-typing keyboard functionality.
"The Pocketop Keyboard has been so well received in North America because it delivers a solution to a common problem amongst PDA users --
a faster and easier way to input information," said David Ferguson, VP of Sales and Marketing at Pocketop. "We are confident that it will receive
the same welcome across Europe and are thrilled to be able to offer the product through Widget. This relationship provides Pocketop with a strong
partner as we seek to meet growing demand from a variety of sales channels in the UK and elsewhere in Europe."
"The Pocketop Keyboard takes the concept of a folding keyboard to a higher level with its innovative, cross-platform approach," commented
Mark Needham, Managing Director of Widget UK. "When compared to alternatives on the market today, we are sure that customers will
appreciate the keyboard's superior connectivity and smaller, more ingenious form factor. We are excited about this addition to Widget's already
strong PDA product line."
A Unique Approach to Connectivity in a Smaller & Sleeker Package
The Pocketop Keyboard's infrared technology means instant portability -- there are no wires, messy cables or bulky power cords to contend with.
Designed to work with the Palm and Pocket PC operating systems, the keyboard is just slightly larger than the Palm m500 -- compact enough to fit
into the smallest breast pocket or handbag. The folding keyboard offers compatibility with most PDAs on the market, and maintains traditional
touch-typing functionality. Wireless connectivity also means that consumers can keep the same keyboard if they buy a new PDA, or they can use
the same keyboard with more than one device. This cost-effective approach is generating significant interest from handheld computer users.
Now Available From Widget
The Pocketop Keyboard is available immediately from Widget UK at www.widget.co.uk.
